Why every write-up ends with what I got wrong
A consultant with no recorded mistakes has either done nothing or told you nothing.
I put a “what I’d do differently” section at the end of every engagement write-up. It started as a discipline for me and turned into the thing clients quote back most often.
It is also a filter. If you are buying certainty, you will not enjoy working with me. If you are buying judgement, that section is the only evidence I can offer that mine is calibrated.
The rule I hold myself to: never write a claim I could not defend in a code review.
