Hi, I'm Will

I run an independent consultancy out of Los Angeles. Information technology, cyber-security, cloud strategy, and the data work underneath AI systems. I take on a small number of engagements a year because the useful version of this work requires reading the whole system, and that does not parallelise.

Before consulting I built and operated the kind of systems I now get called in to review, which is the only reason my advice is worth anything. I have been the person on call for a bad deploy. I write plans that assume the reader will be.

What I will not do: staff a team, sell you a retainer, or hand your engagement to somebody you have not met. If the work needs any of those, I will say so on the first call and point you somewhere better.
